E-MailDownload Resume Mr. Fillat has more than 25 years of experience in architecture, including 15 years as principal of Peter Fillat Architects, which he founded in 1992 as an MBE firm. He is NCARB certified and is currently a registered architect in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. Specializing in architecture and urban design that reflects a "sense of place," Mr. Fillat remains unequivocally committed to designing in a manner that complements a city's existing urban fabric, while adhering to sustainable building principles set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program, through which he is certified. He has contributed significantly to Baltimore's revitalization through his work on new hotel and retail design, adaptive reuse, mixed-use and multi-family residential projects. A natural leader at our firm, he remains personally involved in every project, offering years of acquired expertise in design and management. Mr. Fillat's portfolio includes impressive hospitality projects such as the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott, the Renaissance Grand in St. Louis and the award-winning Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, PA. It also includes signature mixed-use and residential projects such as Inner Harbor East in Baltimore and the Furness House, which won the highly coveted MIPIM Award of Excellence. He has also worked extensively abroad in places such as Puerto Rico, the British West Indies, Asia and Europe.
