Parcel B
Baltimore, Maryland
This 1.1 million SF urban project epitomizes the concept of mixed-use development with its impressive hospitality, office, residential, retail and entertainment components. One of the last parcels to be built in the 18-acre Inner Harbor East development, it infilled the area with much-needed non-residential spaces that are necessary to support an urban downtown lifestyle.
The complexity of all of the various uses was a challenging exercise in space planning, urban design, servicing and vehicular circulation. The project will be the largest mixed-use structure completed in the City of Baltimore and is currently under construction. This project is designed as a series of different buildings creating a varied and dynamic streetscape. The diverse architectural character was created by a team of different architectural firms working together to skin an extremely complex box. The combined effect of the buildings will feel like a warehouse district that have been built over time and by different architectural companies.
The program for this project consisted of a 135-room Homewood Suites hotel, 168-room Hilton Garden Inn, 120 highrise condominium tower, 181,000 SF office building, 55,000 SF retail, 8-plex movie theater and 793-space parking garage.
