Ridgely Commons

Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD

Originally a 19th-century church, this building was converted into a recreation center in the 1950s, which involved significant demolition of interior structural elements. Within the walls of the church’s structural shell, we restored and converted the abandoned space into four beautiful contemporary residential units with a six-car parking garage. Some structures behind the church were demolished and replaced with two additional residential units comprised of wood and glass. The contrast of the old and new construction creates a peaceful courtyard between the spaces.
