11th & K Street NW, Washington, DC

Moxy is a new boutique hotel concept. A minimalist, micro-room style hotel which features a distinctly millennial attitude, with a 24-hour café and rooftop bar, ample social space, tech-enabled wall displays and check-in, and is poised to become the most iconic venue in town. The micro rooms enable an affordable room rate for guests that want to be out and about. The Moxy brand exemplifies energetic social spaces within a minimal, bare-essentials approach to guestrooms, which maximizes room count within the tight footprint allowances of many urban developments and reduces construction costs.

The 200-room property features a rooftop bar, backed by a vivid, color-changing light display and offers views of the iconic landmarks of DC, highlighting the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building. Marriott International’s branding promotes guest interactivity, highlighting public and social events coined “activations” throughout the hotel’s footprint, which range from bocce to pop-up tattoo parlors.

Designed as an homage to Mies Van Der Rohe, the architecture of the hotel is carefully proportioned and crafted with minimalist detailing. The hotel also incorporates the historic façades of three adjacent townhouses. These historic facades have been restored and rebuilt, and will once again enliven the K Street corridor.
