923 5th Street NW, Washington, DC

Located in the Mt. Vernon historic district neighborhood of Washington DC, this 152-room boutique hotel is inspired by the local arts community. The design is comprised of three distinct volumes which help break down the scale of the building to fit comfortably alongside the smaller commercial structures. The boutique hotel’s interiors carry this arts-inspired theme indoors with a rotating arts collection and creative finishes throughout.

This district is about to enlivened by a new Apple Store opening in the Historic Carnegie Library just a few blocks away. The hotel will incorporate a former delicatessen façade into the main entrance, a funky reminder of days gone by. The hotel will be a new urban brand by Hilton Hotels and Resorts and will have 152 guestrooms in the 220 SF size range. The hotel will also feature a rooftop venue. The artfully inspired façade is derived from one of the owners’ favorite Henri Moore sculptures at the National Gallery of Art, located nearby.
