MIRAMAR COURTYARD by MARRIOTT

2 15th St, Ocean City, MD

This Art Deco-inspired hotel was designed to establish a refreshing level of sophistication to the somewhat honky-tonk seaside town of Ocean City, Maryland. In brushing off the dated notions of oceanic romanticism, this design brings a modern touch to the OC Boardwalk with clear eyes while acknowledging the area’s mainstays, like The Captain’s Table restaurant, which now operates on the hotel’s third floor, off the main balcony.

Positioned at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and 15th Street along the 3-mile Boardwalk, the cleanly-designed facade functions as both as a marketing tool, gently revealing a “15” as an homage to its location, and as an aesthetic break-up of the vivid turquoise glass balconies that dot the facades.

In addition to the guestrooms of the Courtyard, the design incorporates the Miramar, a 12-unit condominium, with access to the main hotel’s rooftop indoor/outdoor pool and amenities. The hotel currently boasts a 95% guest approval rating.
