The H Street Hotel is a new 9-story 142 Guestroom Tribute Collection hotel by Marriott. Located in the heart of Washington DC’s Chinatown neighborhood, the hotel firmly re-establishes Chinatowns’ presence, hoping to reclaim the community’s significance in the District. The design incorporates a series of townhouses which have been occupied by traditional Chinese businesses for years. These properties will be renovated and incorporated into the hotel with a destination Pan Asian food and beverage outlet on the ground level as well as a “Night Market” on the lower level creating dynamic new venues for the neighborhood and enlivening its pedestrian ambiance.

Above, the hotel hovers like a lantern with a series of glazed tile building pavilions which will glimmer during the day and glow at night. The facade is crowned with a structure which delicately floats over the building creating an iconic architectural statement for the revitalizing community.
