2 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, 19971
The Historic Belhaven Hotel, which dated back to 1898, will be reimagined with this new luxury resort. The original hotel, with its distinctive green roofs and white clapboard siding, was destroyed in a hurricane in 1962. The new Belhaven is a four-story, 115,000 square foot, full-service luxury resort hotel at the focal point of the Beach Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The property will have ground-floor retail shops and a 95-space underground parking garage. It will contain 116 keys, a conference center, and a swimming pool on the second floor. The design will seek net zero energy use, an extensive solar array, and a Passive Haus building enclosure, and will serve as an example for future coastal development.
